I was born on a farm in Dover and grew up in the countryside around Kent. I started getting interested in music when I was about nine and became a chorister at Rochester Cathedral, and this led on to progressive music and the pop world.
After leaving school I started to travel; mainly in Europe at first, and then on to Canada and the USA. After about four years of bumming around I decided to get a job and started on an acting career which has taken me all over the world as well as London and the West End.
Leads include: Cyrano De Bergerac, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, King, Berlin and Beyond, Royal Festival Hall and tour, Hey Mr. Producer, The Beggar's Opera and The Three Musketeers.
TV and Film include: Franco Zefferelli's Hamlet, Bambino Mio, Between The Lines, Casualty, Eastenders, Ticks and Tripods.
I have also toured extensively in Europe and the West Indies.
I am working currently for the Royal Shakespeare Company in London and, during the summer, at Stratford-upon-Avon and other venues, including a tour of the USA.
I have always been a keen writer and have written a lot of lyrics for my own satisfaction. However, it wasn't until I met up with Milton Reame-James that things started to change and get serious.
I have known Milton for many years and we decided to write some songs together for music publishers. We were so pleased with the results that we thought that it would be great to make a CD together allowing me to use the rock side of my voice. The idea was also to create a 'concept album' centred on animals, with instrumentals and songs across the spectrum of popular music.
We both love the result.
